About Poole Bay Physiotherapy
Sian enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle and when she’s not in the clinic you’ll find her at the beach. Her hobbies; including surfing, scuba diving and attempting anything adventurous have taken her across the globe. Sian’s love of marine sports began from a young age and soon developed into a passion for health, fitness and wellbeing.
As a teenager she began competitively surfing, trained as a beach lifeguard and surf instructor. After getting a taste for working with clients to prepare them for the best surfing experience she decided to pursue a career in helping others enjoy an active lifestyle.
To further develop, Sian studied a Marine Sports degree at Plymouth University. This gave her specific understanding of anatomy, physiology and sports testing within the marine environment. She worked several seasons as a surf instructor in the UK, France and Spain utilising these skills which included strength and conditioning programmes, video analysis and nutrition alongside core surfing skills.
Since graduating as a Physiotherapist with full HCPC and CSP registration Sian has worked in various clinical settings within the NHS and sports rehabilitation. Sian believes being a Physiotherapist is a real privilege, she particularly enjoys empowering her clients through creating achievable and individualised goals. Often this includes; education, injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation and even preparation for competitions.
Sian’s background, skills and experience enable her to bestow a holistic and bespoke assessment and treatment plan centred around your needs. She provides a non-judgmental, confidential and professional service. No matter what your ability or clinical needs, Sian looks forward to hearing from you and working with you to reach your full potential.
